路透報導，菲律賓南部恐怖組織阿布沙耶夫17日釋放兩名德國人質，但菲國政府與軍方尚無法證實人質獲釋的真實性。

這兩名人質分別為71歲的奧科內克（Stefan Viktor Okonek）和他55歲的妻子荷芮克．迪森（Herike Diesen），他們4月25日從菲國西南部駕遊艇前往沙巴州途中被擄。

阿布沙耶夫要求德國政府支付2.5億披索（約新台幣1.9億元）贖金並停止支持美國空襲伊斯蘭國的行動，16日再次透過廣播節目重申警告，否則斬首其中一名人質。
