印尼中爪哇省因連日大雨導致土石流，目前已造成至少24人喪生，仍有數十人失蹤。大批救難人員出動重型起重設備，清理通往被土石流摧毀村莊的道路。總統佐科威也前往災區視察。

警方、軍人與志工等共約兩千人，投入搜救工作。但由於災區主要聯外道路被土石流堵住，救援非常困難。在一些關鍵區域，搜救隊只能徒手在泥地與土石堆中，用鏟子開挖尋找生還者。

總統佐科威從首都雅加達前往災區視察，承諾加緊救援。災情慘重的是中爪哇班查內加拉縣一個村落，12日突然發生重大土石流事故，百餘間房屋被掩沒，多人失蹤。附近五百多名居民，也暫時被安置到臨時庇護所。
